Alliance Française French Film Festival Melbourne

The Alliance Française French Film Festival returns for 2017 offering 45 films from the 8th to the 30th of March across six Palace Cinemas in Melbourne. Experience the rich diversity of French films to come out of the 2015/2016 period. Featuring 30 Australian premieres, two world premieres, and seven director debuts, the festival kicks off with Jérôme Salle’s The Odyssey, a dazzling biopic that follows the life of celebrity oceanographer Jacques Cousteau. There will be special events, as well as five Q&A screenings in partnership with ACMI and The University of Melbourne, and filmmakers Rebecca Zlotowski (Planétarium) and Emmanuelle Bercot (150 Milligrams, Standing Tall) will be joining in support of their films. No matter what your specific interest, French cinema offers something for everyone.
