Artist Speakeasy: Surviving as an independent artist

Following on from a poignant discussion held last year, this Artist Speakeasy: Surviving as an Independent Artist is taking off where it left off at the last conversation - Artist Speakeasy: Do Artists Need Gallery Representation? This time, two unrepresented artists Debbie Symons and Julie Shiels will share their thoughts and experiences on navigating an independent career. The panel will consider changing roles and responsibilities of galleries, changing models of representation, promotion, commercial enterprise and collective practices that have directly impacted the viability of sustaining an independent artistic practice. Presented by Linden New Art in collaboration with Alternating Current Art Space.
