Craft and Design as a Career

Craft's annual all-day symposium returns to Melbourne as part of Craft Cubed, Festival of the Handmade. A massive day of stories, advice, philosophies and reflections from a handpicked line-up of makers, doers and radicals who are each living their own handmade creative journeys.

The speakers include international and interstate luminaries presenting fresh reflections on their experiences in the creative realm.

Speakers include: Charlotte Allingham - Wiradjuri woman, creator, occultist and illustrator, Rachel Burke – artist/ designer, imakestagram and apomogy, Donna Campbell (NZ)- textile artist, University of Waikato / Wānanga o Waikato, Andrei Davidoff - potter, ceramicist and artist, Patience Hodgson (QLD) – The Grates, Southside Tea Room, Splendour In The Craft, mother, Ruby Hoppen - artist, quilter and mother, Magdalena Ksiezak - designer and papercrafter, Okay Kiosk, Louis Le Vaillant - curator/director, The Johnston Collection, Grace Lillian Lee (QLD), designer, mentor, curator, artist, Dr Susan Luckman (SA) – Researcher, author and erratic amateur maker, Professor of Cultural Studies, University of South Australia, Rosanna Raymond (NZ) - artist, Pacific Sisters and SaVage K'lub and Ingrid Tufts - maker and designer of ceramic tableware and objects.
