The annual Melbourne Latin Festival is bringing the world’s best dancers to town to celebrate its 10th year with a fiesta of performances, lessons and parties.
More than 150 dancers will spin into Williamstown from 30 March to 1 April 2018 to showcase the colours, sounds and artistry of Latin America. Not only can attendees see international and local artists in action, but they can also party with them nightly with 12 DJs across three nights, and a live Latin band Saturday evening.
Star performers and instructors include:
World salsa champions Ricardo Vega and Karen Forcano (Chile/Argentina)
Dominican-style bachata specialists Alex Morel and Desiree Godsell (U.S.)
Mariano Neris and Bella Malekian who have a love for Mambo (US/Sweden)
Melbourne Latin Festival is introducing bonus beginner Latin dance lessons in 2018 so audiences can literally warm up before enjoying an evening show. The event is moving to Williamstown Town Hall so dance lovers can enjoy world-class performances in a grand theatre.
Anyone interested in Latin dancing from beginners through to professionals can work up a sweat at the three-day event – sequins optional. Now is your chance to discover the difference between tango, bachata, samba and zouk in a supportive setting.
