Sail Melbourne International

Sail Melbourne International held out of Royal Brighton Yacht Club from 29 November to 3 December 2017 is Australia’s premier international sailing event for Olympic and Invited classes. Come and watch the largest annual ‘Off the Beach’ regatta in the Southern Hemisphere, meet Australia’s Olympic medallists and see the world’s best sailors and Australia's up and coming talent race on Port Phillip. The event is open to spectators and can be followed best from the pier at Royal Brighton Yacht Club (RBYC). Viewing is also available from the clubhouse, which is open to all guests during the regatta. Amongst others, Australia’s London 2012 Olympic champion and America’s Cup sailor Tom Slingsby, Rio 2016 Olympic Champion Tom Burton, Olympic silver medallists Mat Belcher and Will Ryan as well as Olympic silver medallists Jason Waterhouse and Lisa Darmanin will race at Sail Melbourne International on their road to the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020. Over 300 competitors will be competing at Sail Melbourne International with sailors coming from Australia, China, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Japan, USA, Bermuda, Sweden and Canada. The event also includes the inaugural Victorian Kite Foil State Championships.
