'Shot in the City of Port Phillip' is the new Photography Exhibition through the lens of members from The Melbourne Camera Club. Capturing the human and geographic diversity of their local city, members have taken inspiration from what they love about the City of Port Phillip to create their work. With over 250 images on display over two levels, ‘Shot in the City of Port Phillip’ captures the essence of a time, a place and its people.
This project has been supported by the City of Port Phillip through the Cultural Development Fund.
The Melbourne Camera Club is one of the longest continuous running photography groups in Melbourne, founded in 1851. Located in South Melbourne, within the City of Port Phillip council, the club owns its heritage listed building. Currently comprising of approximately 260 members, offering a variety of special interest groups plus facilities including a dark room, studio, photobook library and gallery.
Exhibition opens on Thursday October 18 at 8:00pm. The exhibition open to the public on 20, 21, 27 and 28 October from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
