The Australian Music Vault

Created by Arts Centre Melbourne in collaboration with the music industry, the Australian Music Vault is a celebration of Australian contemporary music - its past, present and future. Opening 19 December 2017, the Australian Music Vault will feature a permanent exhibition showcasing the Australian music story, interactive and digital experiences, iconic objects from the centre's Australian Performing Arts Collection and an ongoing calendar of performances, education and public programs. The inaugural Australian Music Vault Patrons are promoter Michael Gudinski, music guru Ian ‘Molly’ Meldrum, Indigenous singer-songwriter Archie Roach and Melbourne’s favourite diva, Kylie Minogue. It will be a place to explore your love of music, revisit some of the big music moments of your life, share memories and discover the exciting new stories of today’s Australian music scene. Arts Centre Melbourne is opening the Australian Music Vault and everyone is welcome. No backstage pass required.
