The Fox Darkroom and Gallery is thrilled to host an exhibition with Melbourne documentary photographer Nick Hinch.
The Space In Between is the product of a 3000 kilometres journey tracing snow covered roads carved out of volcanic rock between mountain and sea. The series explores today’s modern life in a sparsely populated Icelandic landscape, where signs of humanity are often more visible than life itself.
The exhibition will showcase a series of large format prints highlighting the vastitude of the landscape. Imagery was produced in both colour and black and white film during his expedition earlier this year.
Nick’s photographic journey has emerged over the years as he documented the streets of Melbourne, with a focus on life within the urban landscapes. More recently Nick transitioned into photographic story telling of typical family and human life before embarking on his latest adventure to Iceland. He has exhibited in multiple group exhibitions and is launching his first solo exhibition with The Space In Between.
Opening night on Saturday October 20 at 6:00pm.
