Turkish Pazar Festival at Queen Vic Market

The Turkish Pazar Festival transforms the Queen Victoria Market by combining a traditional Turkish street market with a traditional style street party. Visitors will experience the vibrant tastes, colours and sounds of Turkey through food, music, arts and crafts and cultural displays. A day-long traditional Turkish breakfast and numerous food stalls will entice the taste buds with an array of sweet and savoury flavours. Offerings include gözleme (savoury pancakes), kebabs (how many types are there?), midye dolmasi (stuffed mussels), kumpır (baked potatoes Turkish style), Turkish Delight and baklava (sweet pastries). Afterwards, enjoy an authentic Turkish coffee prepared on a hot bed of sand where visitors can have their fortune told. The day-long stage program includes overseas and local performers. See the website for more information.
